Fillings

A composite resin filling is a tooth-colored filling. The color can be customized to match the surrounding teeth, giving a natural look. Composite resin fillings are a popular alternative to amalgam (metal) fillings. They are also durable and resistant to fracture, making them a good choice for small- to mid-sized fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure from chewing.

During the procedure, the decay is removed and the tooth is prepared to bond with the filling using an adhesive agent. The filling is then hardened in layers using a "blue-light" curing technique.
